Picture was filmed on location in Italy with Post Production in Australia under a United Kingdom-Australian Co-Production.
Picture was shot on the Alexa 65 camera on primary resolutions of 5K and 4K. On set dailies transcodes and grading was in Baselight in P3 with the project set to 4K (1.85), to exactly mirror the DI setup in Post.
Therefore any framing transforms came across to Post without requiring any changes as part of the ‘stack’ contained within the .BLG file (along with all the colour data). Picture was edited in DNx36 on the Avid Media Composer at Soundfirm Melbourne.
Sound was also edited in ProTools at Soundfirm and mixed in 5.1 at Soundfirm Melbourne. Iloura produced all the visual effects in a 4K pipeline, though some supplementary location clean-ups were done in Flame at Soundfirm.
DI grade was in P3 in Baselight at 4K DPX to produce 4K DCDM (16bit TIFF) and 4K DCP for theatrical exhibition in 2.20:1 original aspect ratio. Video mastering was from 4K Rec709 to produce HD (1920 x1080) deliveries. Subsequently an optional 4K UHD master was produced for Australasian home entertainment distribution.
